Named Skiaby, or ‘Cloud Island’, by the Vikings, colourful tales have shaped the lives of all who have called Skye home, and they are still deeply entwined with its soul-stirring landscapes.

In 1933 Ian Macleod created the unique blend of Isle of Skye, using specially selected whisky from Skye and the mainland of Scotland.

To this day Ian Macleod Distillers continues the journey started back then, by creating a rich and fruity blended Scotch like no other. Multi-award winning and enjoyed around the world, Ian Macleod's legacy continues.

The place was Skye - the largest island of Scotland's inner Hebrides. Shaped by the black Cuillin hills, wild seas, and hidden valleys, Ian Macleod poured his very soul into a secret family recipe rich in island tradition.

He sought only the most exceptional peated island malts, matching them with smooth Speyside and Highland malts, and grain whiskies.
